Alright, Dave!
I will not go into great detail with your question, for too many words may cloud the simplicity of what is meant to be understood directly, practically. Maybe and maybe, you will practically understand the difference between consciousness and awareness through what I’m ready to explain.
When I say that negative beliefs cannot exist in consciousness, I mean this: the very moment you are truly conscious of them, they dissolve. They cannot remain. That is all.
Now, many of you may say: "But I am already conscious of my negative belief, and it does not change." Understand, then, that this is not so. What you are experiencing in those moments is only the awareness that you have a negative belief, perhaps even the ability to state it in words. But this is not the same as being truly conscious of it.
To help remind yourself, pause for a moment. Say: "Consciousness is everywhere." Then look around. That spaciousness, that living presence, that is consciousness. That is the place to which you bring the negative belief.
Now, if you wish, the process of transforming a negative belief is simple: close your eyes, to turn inward and access subconscious more easily. Ask yourself: "What would I have to believe is true about myself, to feel this way?" Follow that thread as deeply as you wish to find the negative belief. And yet remember, negative beliefs do not dissolve in the subconscious. They depend upon it to survive. Transformation does not occur there.
Bring the belief into the field of consciousness, and immediately, naturally, it is gone.
And if you wish, you don’t even need to argue with it about whether it is true or false, right or wrong, fact or lie...
We are very aware that some of you, as souls, have chosen to explore extreme darkness and limitation in this lifetime. So do not think we do not understand "difficulty"
I, myself, Ilan, have also incarnated upon your Earth and chosen to experience that very darkness and limitation, and I have come out of it into the light. Therefore, we understand, deeply, how painful it can be.
But trust me when I say this, if you wish: the transformation of negative beliefs is easy, then it truly is.
Alright, Dave! May clarity be with you. Farewell for now.
Ilan

Thank you for the response. Oh, and welcome to the forum as well.
I sense some finer distinctions are eluding me at the moment so I will 'sit' with this.
