Alright, Frank!
Understand, there is no conflict whatsoever with Elan’s message. Decide. Trust. Act, that formula is absolutely applicable here.
The very fact that you choose to transform a negative belief means you already know what you prefer. Otherwise, you wouldn’t even care to make the change in the first place. You already contain the positive belief. You already chose it, deep down. And the only reason you desire to transform the negative belief is because you prefer the positive one within you.
That is why you do not necessarily need to “replace” it. Replacement is simply a reminder of what you already prefer.
Now, the moment you decide to transform a negative belief, you have already decided on the new one. You are trusting in it. You are shifting into it. You can, if you believe it, shift from an absolutely negative belief to an absolutely positive belief, instantly. But most of you don’t believe you can. So what you experience is a step-by-step shifting through parallel realities, each one containing weaker and weaker versions of the negative belief, until it dissolves completely.
Now that, as for the idea that a negative belief cannot be sustained in consciousness: you are confusing awareness with consciousness. Depressed individuals may be aware of the belief, but they have not brought it into consciousness.
Understand, this is the act of conscious choosing. Choosing what you prefer by contrast to what you do not prefer. And yes, the very change in feeling that you experience is itself an action, because every moment, you are shifting to a different parallel reality. Existence is constant action. Constant change.
Me, i will not try to stop you from acting in alignment with the positive belief you prefer, I will simply suggest that when you truly feel it, it becomes natural and easier to act that way.
And yes: you could say I am Elan’s “brother” My highest excitement right now is to clarify these ideas for those who resonate with them. And remember: everything is already perfect, exactly as it is.
Ilan

Thanks Lam/Ilan!
